I would be remiss to gush on about Sasha and Chorney's friendship and ignore the fantastic relationship that has developed between our three kids over the past months. When I step back and think of the transformation our family has experienced over the past year, I am filled with awe and gratitude for the bonds that have formed and been strengthened between each of the five of us.
Of course, we have our down days - the exhausted, everybody's-at-each-other's-throats days where I wonder why we every had any children (and while I'm at it, why did marriage seem like such a good idea?). But the loving days far outnumber the icky ones and Sasha has brought out a nurturing side in the boys that astounds me every time it shines through between lightsaber duals and "my hot dog needs to be microwaved for thirty seconds with that size plate - not thirty five seconds!!!" tantrums.
We've got three top-shelf kids.

Hi Jamie, I loved this post and can relate to it. Seeing the nurturing side of our older kids has been a joy I hadn't really anticipated from this whole adoption journey. But, it is really heart-warming. Thanks for sharing.
