Autumn in South Fork

We intended to go camping this weekend to enjoy the fall colors in the mountains... but then Friday arrived and camping felt really... complicated. So we headed to Ikea for a $500 dinner (why do dinners always cost so much there? Oh, right, because we buy furniture every time we go) and on Saturday got takeout from Zupas (far less expensive than Ikea) and headed up for a picnic in the South Fork of Provo Canyon. Perhaps not as glorious as a whole weekend in the mountains, but just right for right now.

Oh brother am I a sucker for little cuties in panda hats!

Whenever I asked the boys to stay still for a photo, Ben would scream, "Brother Love!" and attack Sam

This is my favorite, "Brother Love" face

The boys finally pause for a "pretending to be normal" shot

But the peace was (unsurprisingly) short lived

Time to go on a girls-only hike!

Up, up, up we go!

And we ended up in a simply beautiful meadow with two simply beautiful girls

Autumn, I love ya.

I love it! Andy and his brother's STILL behave the way Sam and Ben do when someone is trying to take a picture! (As showcased in the Cecret Lake blog I did.) Some things never change!!

Awesome pictures. Sasha, Wang and other kids looking great! Isn't the Bridal Fall somewhere there? We miss that color change in Dallas, Texas.
