Finally - Spring!

After all of my complaining about the snow, I figured I better express my gratitude for a nice warm weekend with similar exuberance. We had a beautiful Saturday and took two walks to the park to bask in the sunshine.

Ben introduced Sasha to the baby swings at the park and she just loved them! Doesn't it just take your breath away that she's already two and she just experienced her first ride on the swings?!? We have so many firsts to enjoy with our baby girl!

Sasha liked Ben's energetic pushes on the swing, and Ben even introduced her to the swing phenomenon known in our family as the Underdog (pushing while running under the swing to give the swingee an extra fun ride). She also just enjoyed hanging out, being swayed by the breeze and watching the other kids at the park.

Walking home down our little suburban street I had to marvel at how much I love living here. Two parks within walking distance, flowering trees in bloom, the last of the snow melting in the shade, and an hour with my three favorite little people - it was a sweet afternoon indeed.

Oh, and Ben insisted that I include this picture of him looking super-cool. He donned my sunglasses and asked me to snap a shot and I requested his "coolest" pose - here it is!

"Ben Cool" and a super swing pusher, too. No wonder Sasha has a big smile on her face! The white trees on your street look a lot like the ones in bloom in MD. Nice! Gramma

Ben is super-cool. You win extra brownie points in our family for being the one willing to push the swing.

Is it just me, or does he look a bit like Steve in that last photo with that expression?

Ben is ultra cool-and how lucky is Sasha to have all those "swing pushers" and a park close enough to walk to!

We were on a walk on friday and found a new playground tucked away accross from the beach. It was so much fun-and they had really cool swings. Leeza had a blast-she doesn't ever want to leave the swing either. :)

These girls are so blessed with their big brothers to be at their beck and call. :

Glad to see spring has arrived for you and that the snow has melted! Don't ya just get an extra little spring in your step when the weather is beautiful? (For you it might just be all your new shoes providing the newly padded bounce!) :)

Well there is at least one Morningstar in Utah that would have liked a little colder temp but then there would not be as much crud to ski. You can only improve your skiing the crud when you actually ski in crud. I am having much practice at it this week! Besides when it gets this warm the old heavy ski jacket just will not do. What to do – get a new jacket that is on sale – so I did! So new ski jacket – skiing the crud better I guess all it all it is working OK. So again Jamie knows best! Spike

Yeah, spring skiing is definitely not the same Utah powder that we love - but at least there's snow!
