Here's the proposed schedule:
- 3/10 or 3/11 - Arrive in Beijing to play tourist and let our bodies catch up with the clock
- Travel to Nanchang
- 3/14 - Meet WanYing!
- Travel to Guangzhou
- 2/23 - Consulate appointment for WanYing's U.S. visa
- 2/25 - Receive WanYing's passport with visa and head home (may spend a day or two in Hong Kong, we'll see)
If anybody has a travel agent they loved for China, please leave a comment or drop us a line!
ps - we may not have plane tickets yet, but Ben and Sasha both got their Typhoid vaccines today and Steve and I got our Hep and Polio boosters a few weeks ago... so provided that we make it to China, we are well protected!

oh my!!!! wooohoooo!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!
the paper chain is genius. I'm stealing your fab idea.
I strongly recommend a stop at disney hong kong. It was a great way to relax and cap off out trip. We took the train from Guangzhou to HK and it was very easy. (Picked up Macy's visa and head right for the train station. Also you can buy train tics once you get to Guangzhou.)
When you get to Guangzhou make sure you explore off the island and take the Pearl River dinner cruise.
Call me if you want to talk about any travel related items.
I'm so excited for you.
Beijing had waaaaay too much to see for just a day and a half.
Fourteen will be a great day!!!!!!
:D
Love the blog. we are in china right now picking up our own new addition. We used Todd Galineck to help with plane tickets, and were super impressed. he does adoption travel only I believe, and in less than 30 minutes had a tentative plan all figured out. We booked it later that day and have been thrilled.
