Day 7 - Social Worker Visit Tomorrow!

Just wanted to let y'all know that we're meeting with the social worker tomorrow! It may be an interesting visit since we don't quite fit into the normal adoptive parent mold (i.e. we're a little younger than usual and have kids by birth and are now adopting). We'll let you know how it all goes - we're excited to be one step closer to being Sestra's official parents.

OMGosh I just read your post about being in Karaganda. I thought you were going to another region for some reason. Which room are you visiting? Kobe was in #8.
Tell Oxana that I said hello & we all miss her:) We called Vldim Kyle Busch because of his driving. Sometimes Natasha drove us.

Don't sweat the social workers. They try to be tough. I thought they asked much harder questions than what we were asked in court but we had a different judge. They would talk while we were answering the questions. I think they wanted us to be scared of them & it worked but in the end everything was A OKAY!!!!

Have you met Dr. Love? Kobe would get so excited when he saw her. She was really good to us.

I am so excited for all of you. I recognized the hospital. Kobe was born there also. How many couples are there right now?

How cold is it right now? It was -22 degrees F on Christmas Day. I think that was the coldest it ever got for us.

Good luck at the Social Worker visit!!! They are scary, but don't sweat it. Oxana will take good care of you!

And back in the room, high-five the twins for us (if they're still there). ...And give Dima a ginormous hug for me (if he's there)... he's a huge chunk of my heart that I left behind.

Thanks for reenacting "The Pout" for us. We had a good laugh!

I am just catching up on your posts as my computers been in the shop but I wanted to say congratulations on meeting your daughter and enjoying your first week with her. I remember it well and how out of world it was. So different than our crazy, hectic American lives but a wonderful way to start as a family. Before you know it you'll be done with court then on your way home to introduce her to her brothers. What lucky people you all are!

Enjoy this special time.

Lou Ann & Lexie too
